While other social service programs were forced to shut their doors during the state budget crisis, the IEJF helped legal aid organizations assist more than 54,000 vulnerable families, seniors and veterans. Despite receiving no state funding for two years, the IEJF was the beneficiary of $7.2 million in settlement award funds from the Attorney General Madigan.
