JUSTICE FOR ALL

The Illinois Equal Justice Foundation funds civil legal aid programs across
the state, ensuring that all residents have equal access to the justice system.

These programs build stronger communities and a stronger Illinois.

Our IL-AFLAN Champion

At our Annual Meeting, we also gave a big thanks to outgoing Program Director Zach Zarnow for his exemplary service to the IEJF and Illinois’ Access to Justice community.  In particular, Zach was instrumental managing the successful launch and rollout of the IL Armed Forces Legal Aid Network (IL-AFLAN). In its inaugural year, IL-AFLAN helped more than 2,600 veterans and their families access critical legal help for housing, family, employment and benefits issues. It is on target to double that number in its second year.

Lucky for us, he will continue to coordinate the work of IL-AFLAN remotely for a year to ensure a smooth transition.  Here’s Zach with Lauren Meachum, IEJF Vice President and Leslie Corbett, IEJF Executive Director.
