JUSTICE FOR ALL

The Illinois Equal Justice Foundation funds civil legal aid programs across
the state, ensuring that all residents have equal access to the justice system.

These programs build stronger communities and a stronger Illinois.

More IL Veterans Able to Access Legal Help

Thanks to the IL Armed Forces Legal Aid Network (IL-AFLAN), more than 6,800 Illinois veterans, active duty military and their families have received critical legal assistance over the past two years. And that’s just one measure of IL-AFLAN’s impact. Here are some other major milestones:

  • Secure more than $4.68 million in financial benefits for veterans through preserved assets, access to financial benefits, etc.
  • Helped more than 276 veterans avoid homelessness
  • Fielded more than 16,000 hotline calls with an average wait time of just 6 minutes before a veteran spoke to an attorney
