JUSTICE FOR ALL

The Illinois Equal Justice Foundation funds civil legal aid programs across
the state, ensuring that all residents have equal access to the justice system.

These programs build stronger communities and a stronger Illinois.

Legal Aid Programs Continue to Help Provide ‘Justice for All’

Legal Aid Programs Continue to Help Provide ‘Justice for All’After Governor Pritzker entered the stay at home order, a Springfield police officer forced the Phelans to leave their residence, a motel, due to non-payment. They had nowhere to go, besides their car.

Land of Lincoln attorney Dowin Coffey quickly and fearlessly stepped in to help the Phelans. He filed a Temporary Restraining Order against the motel owner, which was granted. The Springfield Police Department has stated that they will no longer remove people from motels/hotels during this pandemic.

Here’s a full list of available legal aid resources across Illinois.
