JUSTICE FOR ALL

The Illinois Equal Justice Foundation funds civil legal aid programs across
the state, ensuring that all residents have equal access to the justice system.

These programs build stronger communities and a stronger Illinois.

IL Equal Justice Foundation Awards More than $1.3M in Legal Aid Grants

The IL Equal Justice Foundation Board of Directors has unanimously approved $1.3M in grants to 21 Illinois civil legal aid providers.  Grants were made possible with funding from the state appropriation for civil legal aid housed in the Office of the Attorney General.

To help ensure the greatest impact, grants were awarded to both large organizations that provide a breadth of legal services like Legal Aid Chicago, Prairie State Legal Services and Land of Lincoln Legal Aid, as well as community-based groups like Beyond Legal Aid, Farmworker & Landscaper Advocacy Project and the Uptown People’s Law Center that bring the law where people live.
