IEJF Receives Inaugural Rock Cullerton Access to Justice Award
The IL Equal Justice Foundation was honored to receive the inaugural Rock Cullerton Access to Justice Award from the Chicago Bar Association.
The award is named after former Senate President John Cullerton and former Senate President Phil Rock. Both President Rock and President Cullerton were instrumental in increasing the state appropriation for civil legal aid and moving the IEJF to the Attorney General’s office. In addition, President Rock, who passed away in 2016, was a founding member of the IEJF Board and co-chair of the Equal Justice Illinois Campaign.
We were also thrilled to accept the Award with Governor J.B. Pritzker and Attorney General Kwame Raoul and look forward to their continued leadership in ensuring ALL Illinois residents have the legal protection they deserve.
