JUSTICE FOR ALL

The Illinois Equal Justice Foundation funds civil legal aid programs across
the state, ensuring that all residents have equal access to the justice system.

These programs build stronger communities and a stronger Illinois.

Governor Jim Thompson: A Legal Aid Champion

August - Gov Thompson

The IEJF joins Illinoisans this week in mourning the passing of Governor Jim Thompson. Gov. Thompson’s leadership as co-chair of the Equal Justice Illinois campaign was vital to increasing state funding for legal aid.

As he said in our original campaign video, “One of the most fundamental promises government makes is equal justice under law.” The legal aid community is grateful for his dedication and support in ensuring more Illinois residents have access to the justice system.
