JUSTICE FOR ALL

The Illinois Equal Justice Foundation funds civil legal aid programs across
the state, ensuring that all residents have equal access to the justice system.

These programs build stronger communities and a stronger Illinois.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month Highlights Need for Legal Aid

The national Civil Legal Needs Study found that domestic violence victims experience twice the number of civil legal problems as the public as a whole.  From obtaining orders of protection to ensuring access to stable housing and employment, legal aid is a critical tool that helps victims and their children reclaim their lives and gain safety and independence. The IEJF is proud to support the legal aid organizations who are protecting families every day across Illinois.  Check out our 2018 grant lists (here and here) to learn more.
