JUSTICE FOR ALL

The Illinois Equal Justice Foundation funds civil legal aid programs across
the state, ensuring that all residents have equal access to the justice system.

These programs build stronger communities and a stronger Illinois.

As School Year Starts, Equip for Equality Offers Special Education Resources

It’s back to school month for many students across Illinois.  But for children with disabilities, the upcoming school year can pose challenges as they strive to get an education that meets their unique needs.  Equip for Equality, an IEJF grantee, is here to help.

Through its Special Education Clinic, Equip for Equality helps parents learn to be an active partner for their children, and understand their child’s legal rights and their school’s duties.

Parents can also call Equip for Equality’s Special Education Helpline parents toll-free at 866-KIDS-046 (866-543-7046) for help with legal questions.
