There’s a new effort to erase marijuana-related charges for people across the state of illinois. A group known as the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation are trying to do just that. IEJF member Gray Mateo Harris says the group has established 20 non profit legal aid organizations throughout the state to focus on expunging people of criminal records involving cannabis. “We know the legal system can seem intimidating or confusing which is exactly why we are providing access to free legal aid professionals to help each step of the way.
