Eviction Help Illinois Grants

The Illinois Equal Justice Foundation and the IL Department of Human Services (IDHS) have partnered to develop a statewide legal aid and mediation response to the impending eviction crisis. Round 1 grants were approved in March and run through June 30, 2021.  Preparations for Round 2 Eviction Help Illinois grants has begun.  Included in Governor Prtizker’s and IDHS’ FY 22 budget plans at $3M, the Round 2 appropriation will need to go through the state legislative budget process. Grant awards are dependent on inclusion in and approval of the FY 22 state budget.
