Sook Lee is a Managing Director in the Disputes, Compliance & Investigations group at Stout, a global investment bank and advisory firm specializing in corporate finance, transaction advisory, valuation, financial disputes, claims and investigations.
Sook has over 18 years of experience providing forensic and litigation consulting and expert witness services to clients involved in fraud investigations and complex commercial disputes. She has provided expert deposition and testimony in state and probate court on issues pertaining to economic damages, business valuation, allegations of asset misappropriation and accounting irregularities.
Sook works closely with litigators, in-house counsel, governmental agencies, court-appointed trustees and examiners, corporate management teams, board of directors and high-net worth individuals in the context of alleged fraud and financial investigations, waste and abuse, asset misappropriation and embezzlement schemes, complex commercial litigation and arbitration, business and shareholder disputes and tax controversy matters.
Her experience spans many sectors including, professional services, financial services, securities, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, private equity, insurance, construction and manufacturing.
Prior to joining Stout, Sook was a Director at Natoma Partners where she provided financial modeling, damages and accounting analysis as well as litigation, arbitration and expert testimony support to clients involved in complex commercial disputes, accounting malpractice claims, government investigations, general business disputes and tax controversy matters.
Sook is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Her civic involvement includes serving on the Leader Council of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls and a volunteer in the tax assistance program at Ladder Up.
