Ron Gould, an attorney in DLA Piper’s Litigation group, focuses his practice on defending accounting firms throughout the United States in professional liability matters.
Mr. Gould is actively involved with Equip for Equality and in the legal community, as a member of the American Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
Before joining DLA Piper, Mr. Gould was Deputy General Counsel at Grant Thornton LLP, one of the largest accounting firms in the world, and handled major litigation in the Office of General Counsel.
Prior to his work at Grant Thornton, Mr. Gould was a partner with Mayer Brown, where he handled complex business litigation matters before state and federal trial courts. He also represented clients from the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia in domestic and international arbitrations before the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the American Arbitration Association.
Mr. Gould received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, with high honors, and his B.A. in history from the University of Michigan, with distinction. He is admitted to practice in Illinois.
